Football - Upcoming Fixtures

The domestic club action across Europe moves to the back burner as this week. Instead, it is a return of the international football scene with the arrival of the November break. For some nations, that means the resumption of World Cup 2026 qualification campaigns. Look for some big action from South America and Asia on that front during the upcoming international action, starting on Thursday, November 14th.

In Europe, the group stage of the Nations League will draw to its exciting conclusion in the next round of matches, with plenty still to be settled. Things kick off on Thursday with some important games including Belgium vs Italy from the top tier. Italy are on course to win Group A2, while Belgium are desperately seeking points to try and avoid the relegation play-offs.

Denmark vs Spain on Friday will have a big say in Group A4, where European champions Spain hold a three-point lead over Denmark and therefore need just a point to secure the top spot. On the same night, Portugal could wrap up Group A1 if their result against Poland is better than what Croatia manage away at Scotland.

In Group B2 Greece vs England is a big clash between the top two. Greece hold a three-point advantage over England after scoring a shock away win at Wembley against the Three Lions earlier in the campaign. A point against England will see them win the group and earn promotion up to League A, while a win for England would leave everything riding on the final round of matches. In the final round of fixtures, England will travel to Ireland and Greece will head to Finland.

On Saturday, Germany will secure the Group A3 win with a victory at home against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Behind them, there’s a big match between the Netherlands and Hungary in the race for second place in the section. Hungary and the Netherlands are locked on five points each, so the winner will take a huge advantage into the final round of matches.

Wales are still in the hunt for promotion from Group B4 and will guarantee a top-two spot with upcoming games against Turkey and then Iceland. Group C3 leaders Northern Ireland will face Belarus and Luxembourg in their pursuit of promotion.

Premier League Betting at 888sport

Boasting legendary clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal, the English Premier League is the richest, most-watched league in the world.

During the summer and January transfer windows, it’s the Premier League that draws all the high-profile moves, as teams try to strengthen their bids for glory or survival by snapping up the best players around. You can take bets on player transfers at 888sport, picking which club a player will end up at next.

All Premier League matches are covered by extensive pre-match and in-play markets. With our fantastic match winner odds posted for all fixtures, it’s easy to build a Premier League acca from your selections by adding your selections to our user-friendly bet slip.

A wide array of pre-match betting choices is provided for every Premier League match, and that expands further after kick-off when the action shifts to live Premier league odds. Along with popular markets like Full Time Results, Total Goals, Both Teams To Score and Double Chance, there are great prop bets in our coverage. Look for our markets like Most Corners, Player To Be Carded and Player To Have Two Or More Shots On Target.

Create your own Premier League odds with our great Bet Builder tool, where you can pull together same-game selections to forge a customized single bet.

Even during the rare quiet days when there isn’t a Premier League match happening, there are still plenty of long-term betting markets to size up. The Premier League outright winner market gains plenty of traction well before the start of a season. But Premier League odds for the title race odds continue to shift and change as the season winds on.

Other popular areas of long-term Premier League betting are the race for a Top Four Finish which rewards teams with a place in the UEFA Champions League, and Premier League relegation betting. The fight for survival at the foot of the table often delivers some of the most intense moments of a season.

Championship Betting and FA Cup Odds

In conjunction with so many options for Premier League betting, there are other stand-out highlights of the English football scene. The Championship is a brilliant competition and is regarded as one of the most competitive leagues in the world. The EFL Championship is the richest non-top-flight league in the world.

That’s how big England’s second tier is and with 24 teams taking part, there is a long, gruelling season, which consists of many ups and downs. Punters can enjoy 167 matches in a Championship season. The main Championship betting focus is on the top two spots, as they are the only guaranteed promotion places up for grabs to the Premier League.

Teams finishing 3rd through 7th go into the high-drama arena of the Championship Play-offs for the remaining promotion spot. The Championship Play-off Final is one of the most anticipated, most watched fixtures in English football. It’s one last chance for the teams involved to make it to the top flight, and there is always heartbreak and joy in equal measures at the final whistle.

Championship betting on the relegation picture is also another huge area. Three of the 24 participating teams slip out of the division at the end of the season and down into League One.

FA Cup betting is the other real highlight of English football. It is the oldest national football competition in the world, and that history and prestige keep the tournament going strong. There is no seeding of teams for the FA Cup, and the open draw format can produce some brilliant fixtures.

Sometimes non-league underdogs get a once-in-a-lifetime visit from a Premier League club and get supported by punters in FA Cup betting to pull off a giant-killing act. Including qualification rounds involving a vast number of non-league teams, more than 700 teams take part in the FA Cup.

The First Round of the FA Cup features 124 teams, 32 of those being qualifiers. Reaching the Third Road is the big goal for the lower-ranked teams, as that’s when the Premier League and Championship teams enter the draw. FA Cup betting reaches its pinnacle when the Final rolls around at the end of the season, a big televised day out at the famous Wembley Stadium.
