Qualifying for the US Open is achieved in two ways: winning a place via a qualification event or becoming fully exempt. Previous champions and top ranked players are classed as fully exempt and given automatic entry to the US Open. For those without an exemption, dozens of qualifying tournaments are held across the US and the top finishers are awarded with a ticket for the event.

This mixture of top ranked pros and emerging talent makes US Open betting extremely entertaining as the results are often tougher to predict.
