Josh Allen & Lamar Jackson have gone clear in MVP race
We’re getting closer to the end of the regular season and the MVP debate is really heating up! At the moment, I’m sticking with Lamar Jackson – but it’s getting scary!
If the award was decided this week then you have to look at Josh Allen after his performance against the San Francisco 49ers. He had the Sunday night game, at home, in the snow, and played like that.
It just looks good, and plays a part in deciding who wins the MVP. It feels like he just making so many unbelievable highlight plays at the moment.
Lamar is playing as good as he ever has as a drop-back quarterback, but he’s just not winning as many games.
If it was just about making highlight plays then Joe Burrow would be in the conversation because he’s unbelievable right now, but you have to win games.
It keeps changing every week and this week definitely went to Josh Allen, but it could easily flip back next week. Those two are the clear frontrunners and I’d probably have Saquon Barkley in third.
Jameis Winston is fun to watch but not sustainable
Jameis Winston showed once again against the Denver Broncos that he is not afraid to get the ball down the field.
He’s known for that, but he’s also known for turning the ball over, which he did a few times and ultimately the Cleveland Browns ended up losing the game.
He’s exciting to watch, he’s exciting to listen to and it seems like the team rallies behind him, so I’m not surprised by his performance.
However, it almost doesn’t matter how many yards you throw if you’re consistently turning the ball over and you don’t win. That said, he is definitely fun to watch!
He’s not the kind of quarterback that you can really build around long-term, if he was then the Browns would’ve already done that. He’s a good guy to get you to the next step.
He wasn’t supposed to be the starter this year but he’s taking that opportunity and the team were motivated by him being back out there. He’s not the future, but he can get you there.
Lions to reign supreme in NFC East clash
My first game to watch comes from the NFL’s strongest division, the NFC East, with the Detroit Lions taking on the Green Bay Packers. This is going to be a seriously tough game and one I can’t wait to see.
I’m obviously going to side with the Lions here as I have done all season, but it won’t be easy with the injuries they’ve suffered on defense recently. It’s going to be a challenge to stop the run, they’re really going to have to stand up.

We know the Packers can run the ball with Josh Jacobs, and Jordan Love will take some shots on the outside.
The Lions will have to make sure they’re efficient on defense to stop both of those threats, but the main thing for me is stopping the run because that’s what Green Bay want to do and they’ve been doing a good job of it this season.
It’s going to be an interesting game but overall I just think the Lions are the better team, and they’re also at home which always helps.
Prediction: Detroit Lions to win
War in the West to go the Seahawks
My second game to watch in Week 14 is another divisional match-up, this time from the NFC West. It’s a weaker division but this looks like a great matchup with the Seattle Seahawks heading to Arizona to take on the Cardinals.
I like the way Seattle are playing at the moment. They’ve found their way defensively and they’re capable of stopping the run; I think they’ll have a good plan in place to stop Kyler Murray. With the way they’re playing right now I think they can win this, but it’ll be tough.
The game is in Arizona which definitely makes it harder, but I’m still just siding with Seattle.
They’re really coming into their own now under this new coaching staff, and it takes a while to get comfortable with new play callers. We’re seeing them get more comfortable every week, so they’re my pick here.
Prediction: Seattle Seahawks to win
