Luis de la Fuente’s side are well on their way to successfully defending their crown in the UEFA Nations League, despite what happens here, they’ll be back in March to compete in the quarter-final stage.
It’s been a torrid time for Switzerland and Murat Yakin, following two draws and three defeats in the group stage, their 1-1 stalemate with Serbia on Friday evening confirmed their automatic relegation into the B side of the UEFA Nations League for their next campaign. The Red Crosses remain just one of three sides that are yet to pick up a victory after their first five fixtures, they’ll have to defy the odds if they are to get that first victory in this one.
These two sides met back in September with Spain cruising to a 4-1 victory away from home, despite having nothing to play for, I expect Spain to complete a brilliant group stage campaign with another victory in front of their home faithful.
