While Serbia are not among the favourites in the Euro 2024 winner market, Vlahović and co. are going to be a popular dark horse pick for the tournament in Germany.

The Juve frontman is part of Serbia’s appeal this summer – his performances will be under the microscope, whether good or bad.

So, this seems a good opportunity to learn a bit more about Vlahović, including a look at his career to date.

How Much Is Dušan Vlahović Worth?

Dušan Vlahović net worth is reportedly above £30 million. Estimations for Vlahović’s net worth vary considerably depending on the source, but it’s clear the Serbian has amassed a fortune throughout his professional career.

Salary Sport is just one of the websites used for salary estimations and the site claims the Juventus forward is on £214,000 per week. This would make Vlahović the 23rd-highest-paid player in the Premier League, just behind Manchester City’s Rodri and Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk.

It’s a sizeable salary even for an elite striker, but it’s still less than Gabriel Jesus, Mo Salah, Marcus Rashford, and Erling Haaland.

Vlahović has worn both Nike and adidas boots in the past. There was speculation over which boots he would wear ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Playing for one of Europe’s biggest clubs, Vlahović will have a sizeable endorsement deal with his boot manufacturer. This will only help to boost his net worth in the coming years – bigger endorsement deals could be on the way.

Arsenal Rumours

Dušan Vlahović was a target for Arsenal in 2022. The Serbian opted to join Juventus instead. Rumours of Arsenal’s interest have resurfaced in recent months, but it’s hard to see why.

Juventus are reportedly keen to keep their top scorer, and Vlahović has no interest in leaving at this juncture. With two years left on his current deal, Vlahović and his camp could be using Arsenal for leverage as he looks to negotiate a bigger salary.

Links to Arsenal have been persistent over the years. Vlahović poured cold water on the speculation when he was interviewed during the 2023-24 campaign, however.

The Serbian said, "I have always been focused and calm, even during the tour in America, when I missed the match against AC Milan due to a physical problem. I have always been calm.

"I was always sure I wanted to stay. The noises are always there, and they are part of the game, if we start listening to everyone, we can go crazy.

"I isolated myself and only thought about the retreat and in the end I’m very happy I stayed. It was what I wanted."

He added, "I play in one of the most important teams in the world. I am honoured and proud, for now I see myself here.

"I still have two-and-a-half years left on my contract, but we are in no hurry. [Juve sporting director Cristiano] Giuntoli and my agent are already talking. I'm very happy to be here."

Transfer Fee History

Dušan Vlahović signed for Juventus for a fee of roughly £63 million in the 2022 January transfer window, which made him one of the most expensive signings in Serie A history behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Matthijs de Ligt, and Gonzalo Higuain.

While deemed a flop early in his Juventus stint, Vlahović has made meaningful progress over his couple of seasons in Turin.

Lautaro Martinez was the only player to score more Serie A goals in 2023-24, and Vlahović was only a narrow second place in the expected goal charts.

Career Goals

Dušan Vlahović has scored 113 goals at club level in 258 appearances. As of 6th June 2024, he has scored 49 goals for Fiorentina, compared with 41 for Juventus.

He has found the net 13 times in 26 caps for Serbia. Ahead of Euro 2024, Vlahović has only scored one goal at a major tournament, and the majority of his international strikes have been against much inferior nations.

The 2020-21 season was his most prolific with 21 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions for Fiorentina.

Injury History

Dušan Vlahović has a mild injury history. While he has dealt with issues in different parts of his body, he has never missed more than six matches with a single injury (abductor pain in late 2022).

An ‘inflammation in the spine’ kept him sidelined for a couple of weeks in March, and forced him to miss the international break. It proved to only be a minor issue for the Serbian, however, and he was fully fit for the remainder of Juventus’ league campaign.

He had missed a combined three games through back and muscle issues earlier in the season. The challenge for Vlahović will be keeping as durable as he ages, particularly if he ends up having some seasons with deep European runs. The extra matches can be what stretches players too far.
