At Euro 2024, he will be integral to Slovenia’s football betting chances. Some will fancy the Slovenians as an outsider in Group C alongside England, Denmark, and Serbia. There might even be a bit of interest in Šeško as a longshot online betting pick to win the Golden Boot.

While he’s yet to really star on the biggest stage, Šeško’s profile is inevitably going to grow over the coming months with the Euros and a highly competitive transfer saga expected.

How Much Is Benjamin Šeško Worth?

Benjamin Šeško net worth is not a publicly available number. While he’s still in the early days of his professional career, the expectation is that Šeško net worth is in the millions.

After all, Red Bull have paid their players healthy salaries in the past, even if they’re a long way shy of the figures offered up by Bayern Munich and other historical powerhouses.

Šeško may well have received a significant pay rise when he moved from Salzburg to Leipzig. Yes, the clubs have the same ownership, but moving from Austria to an elite Bundesliga team should command at least a slight salary increase.

His marketability is only going to grow in the coming years, which will see his net worth increase further.

For now, Šeško will have to settle for the income from boot deals and other sponsorship opportunities. If he makes it in the Premier League, we could see him as the face of multiple brands in years to come.

How Tall Is Benjamin Šeško?

Benjamin Šeško stands at 6’5 (1.95 metres) and this would make him the joint-tallest active Premier League player alongside Dan Burn and Fraser Forster.

There are only three Premier League outfield players at 6’4 or taller (Burn, Kristoffer Ajer, Sasa Kalajdzic).

Reported Salary

Benjamin Šeško is on £69,000 per week, according to Salary Sport. This is an excellent salary for a player of his age, even by the standards of elite-level football.

It would rank 181st among Premier League players in 2023-24, however, and Šeško is destined for a hefty pay rise if a big move materialises this summer.

For comparison, Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund is on £85,000 per week, while Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez is on £100,000 per week.

Both seem like reasonable enough benchmarks for Šeško, who has proven himself in Austria and Germany. His current salary is less than Jonjo Shelvey, Issa Diop, and Jacob Ramsey.

Career Goals

Benjamin Šeško has scored 79 goals in 179 appearances at club level. He has 11 goals in 28 caps for Slovenia – five of his goals for Slovenia have been scored since the start of September 2023.

Yet to spend a prolonged period at any club, Šeško has enjoyed productive campaigns with Liefering, Salzburg, and Leipzig.

Style of Play

Benjamin Šeško has drawn comparisons with both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Erling Haaland. Not bad company to be in, is it?

The reasons are obvious. Šeško is tall, yet he’s a phenomenal athlete. He’s nimble and agile, giving him all the benefits of his sizeable frame while still being able to navigate past defenders with his quick feet.

Given space to run in to, he can also burn past most opponents, which is perhaps where the comparisons with Haaland are most apt.

Bet Calculator

A reliable finisher on both feet, there’s no question Šeško is a raw prospect at this point, but that’s to be expected from a player born in 2003.

The combination of technical ability, off-ball movement, and his all-around physical attributes make him a high-upside signing. There is risk involved, but it’s worth a gamble given what he could be.

Benjamin Šeško Release Clause

Benjamin Šeško reportedly has a release clause of £56 million. While this would be touch-and-go with breaking into the 50 most expensive transfers of all-time, this is still a sizeable fee for a player with Šeško’s limited track record.

Any team triggering this clause this summer would be banking on his potential, just as Manchester United did with Rasmus Hojlund.

Any team triggering the clause would still need to agree personal terms with Šeško. Splashing that cash is no guarantee he will make the move.

There’s also a possibility that multiple teams trigger the clause, giving Šeško the choice between multiple teams, which is a scenario we have seen play out with numerous young talents over the years.

Chelsea Rumours

Chelsea, along with Manchester United and Arsenal, have shown a keen interest in Benjamin Šeško.

The Blues might be facing financial restrictions due to their heavy spending under their current ownership, but that hasn’t stopped them pursuing Šeško.

With their big spending expected to continue, Chelsea have also been linked with Victor Osimhen and several other strikers.

Manchester United have only just signed Rasmus Hojlund, while Arsenal’s need at number nine is perhaps clearest of the three.
