Ivory Coast international Amad Diallo has shot to prominence in the across the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.
With Manchester United once again struggling, Diallo has been the lone bright spark with a string of match-winning performances.

A couple of loans provided flashes of Diallo’s undeniable talent. It wasn’t enough to make him a regular at Old Trafford, however, and there were suggestions his future could belong elsewhere.
Instead, Diallo has ascended to become United’s next great hope. His presence is suddenly a major factor in Premier League betting markets, and he’s one of the regular betting favourites to find the net for the Red Devils.
How Much Is Amad Diallo Worth?
Estimations for Amad Diallo net worth vary considerably. It’s likely his net worth is less than £10 million, but it’s probably more than £3 million.
Signed by Manchester United in 2021, the Ivorian has been making a significant wage since then, which will have had a huge impact on his personal finances.
On his current on-field trajectory, Diallo is destined to become a target for brand deals. To date, he’s not had a big enough profile to make big bucks from endorsements, but that could all change with his rapid ascent to superstardom.
Diallo wears Adidas F50s. No exact figures for this partnership have been made public, though the three-striped sporting manufacturer will be keen to maintain their association with Manchester United’s rising talent.
Salary
Amad Diallo was on £28,846 per week, according to Spotrac.
This is the 442nd-highest Premier League salary in 2024/25 behind Sam Morsy, Santiago Bueno, Scott Carson, and several others. Very few players at Big Six clubs were on less than Diallo.
A new deal in January 2025 took Diallo up to £120,000, per Capology.
This is the same wage as Alexander Isak, Victor Lindelof, and several other big-name Premier League players. There are still over 80 players earning more than Diallo, however.
Contract
Amad Diallo signed a new, five-and-a-half-year contract with Manchester United in January 2025. The deal increased Diallo’s salary by over 400%.
It has brought his income to a more reasonable range given his importance to one of the wealthiest clubs in world football.
Jason Wilcox, Manchester United’s technical director, was very optimistic about Diallo’s future.
Wilcox said, "Everyone is delighted with Amad's development - his quality on the ball, versatility and determination makes him a key part of the future of Manchester United.
"The best years of his career are ahead of him and we all look forward to helping Amad to reach his immense potential and achieve success at the club in the coming seasons."
After starring in the first half of the 2024/25 campaign, Diallo was excited by what’s to come.
"I'm really proud to have signed this new contract. I have had some incredible moments with this club already but there is so much more to come.
"I have huge ambitions in the game and I want to achieve history at Manchester United. I have learnt so much since arriving here four years ago.
"I am very grateful to the coaches and staff who have helped me to develop and to the fans for driving me forward every day.
"It has been a difficult season for everyone, but I fully believe that we are on the right path and the future is going to be really special.
"I am ready to give everything to help the team and make our supporters proud again."
Rangers Loan
After making only eight appearances in his first season as a Manchester United player, Amad Diallo was loaned to Rangers in January 2022 season. He appeared 13 times for the Glasgow club, scoring three goals.
It was an underwhelming spell north of the border. Being substituted at half-time against Celtic was a lowlight, but it was a largely forgettable period at Ibrox. Rangers fans might find it hard to believe the player Diallo has become.
Diallo spent 2022/23 on loan at Sunderland. He flourished in the Championship, finishing as the Black Cats’ top scorer with 14 goals. He was named EFL Young Player of the Month in December.
Transfer Fee
Despite making a grand total of five appearances for Atalanta, Manchester United splashed €21.3 million (€37 million including bonuses) on Amad Diallo in October 2020.
Having just celebrated his 18th birthday, the Ivorian was a raw talent, but United clearly believed he was a player who could become first-team quality in the future.
At the time, Diallo said, "After waiting since the summer, it is finally a dream come true to complete my move to Manchester United. I am hugely ambitious and there is so much that I want to achieve in the game; when I spoke to the manager I knew that I had joined the perfect club…
"I have had time to prepare for this move, both physically and mentally, and I have worked really hard to be ready to make the step up to this amazing club."
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, then Red Devils manager, said, “As a club, we have followed Amad for a number of years and having watched him myself, I believe he is one of the most exciting young prospects in the game…
"It will take time for him to adapt but his speed, vision and fantastic dribbling ability will stand him in good stead to make the transition. He is a player with all of the raw attributes that are needed to be an important player for Manchester United in the years to come."
Hat-Trick
After scoring a late equaliser on 5th January, Amad Diallo continued his scorching form in 2025 with his first senior hat-trick.
It took Diallo just 12 minutes on 16th January to score three goals against Southampton, turning a 1-0 deficit into a 3-1 victory.
It was the first hat-trick by any Manchester United player in almost three years.
Diallo described it as ‘maybe one of the best weeks of my life.’
Manager Ruben Amorim clearly tried to keep his starlet grounded.
"We have to be careful with the young kids. It was a really good job today. He has a lot to improve. But this game is in the past. We need to prepare for the future. In football life is like this.
"He did a great job. It's a great moment for a young kid to score a hat-trick for a club like this. But he needs to focus on the next match because it's already in the past and prepare the next game."
